Throwing Stones

Throwing Stones

A wise man once stated

if you live amongst glass,

stones are, as expected,

the last thing to possess.

Yet, everyone carries them, undercoated,

big ones and small.

Heed warning. Don’t use them,

not one stone at all!

A man walks by, whos shoes you’ve not filled.

They are tattered, worn, and with odor that seems to spill.

Now you notice his clothes all have stains,

and why does he not brush out that mane?

Without any notice, just at a glance,

you’ve gone and done it. You’ve broken some glass.

Once thrown, the stones are their burden to bear.

However, protection of glass is no longer there.

Exposed to pockets heavy with stones,

You’ll suddenly wish you’d left yours alone.

Your ammo is out, and tables are turned.

What a lesson there is to be learned.

A wise man once stated

if you live amongst glass,

stones are, as expected,

the last thing to possess.
